CPR has adapted over the years. You may remember when the number of compressions, or the number of breaths were different. You may remember when you were supposed to stick things in people’s mouths when they were having a seizure. Most recently, there has been a standardization of compressions.
There is now a new approach to CPR and First Aid training that is revealing itself.
Blended CPR & First Aid.
Now that most people have access to technology, people are finding it easier to take Online training. There are great programs online that our thorough and people can do at their own pace. This is an ideal situation so that you never miss a beat with misunderstandings or instructors going too quickly.
The issue with Online training is that you don’t get the hands on experience. Many employers won’t accept the Online certification.
In-person training is great. You have an instructor who will walk you through exactly what you are supposed to do on a mannequin. They will correct your form so that you will feel the most confident in an emergency situation.
The issue with In-Person training is that you end up wasting your weekend. No one wants to sit in a classroom for 8 hours on a Saturday.
The solution? Blended CPR & First Aid.
