These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to all classes, online courses, training programs, and services offered by A-B-CPR & First Aid Training, Inc. (“A-B-CPR,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By registering for a class, purchasing an online course, or using our website, you agree to these Terms.
These Terms govern:

In-person classes at our training center

Online and blended learning courses

Corporate and onsite group training

Use of our website and digital content
Please read them carefully.
1. Registration & Enrollment
1.1 Pre-Registration Required
We do not allow walk-ins. All students must register in advance through our website or approved booking platform.
1.2 Accurate Information
You agree to provide accurate contact information when registering so we can send confirmations, reminders, and course materials.
2. Attendance Policies (In-Person Training)
2.1 On-Time Arrival Required
Classes begin promptly. Late arrivals are not permitted at the discretion of the instructor, regardless of how late. Missing the start of class counts as a no-show.
2.2 Participation Requirements
Students must participate fully to earn certification, including demonstrating skills, answering questions, and engaging in hands-on practice.
Sleeping, excessive phone use, disruptive behavior, or returning late from breaks may result in removal from class without refund or rescheduling.
2.3 Professional Conduct
We reserve the right to remove any student for:

Disruptive or unprofessional behavior

Harassment
-
Being under the influence of alcohol or drugs

Refusal to follow instructor direction
Removal does not entitle the student to a refund.
2.4 Physical Limitations
Our classes involve hands-on skills that may be physically demanding.
Please inform your instructor before class if you have any limitations so accommodations can be discussed.
3. Online Courses
3.1 Single-User Access
Online course logins are for one individual only. Sharing access, copying materials, downloading content, or distributing quizzes or videos is prohibited.
3.2 No Recording
Recording, reproducing, or distributing any part of our online or in-person classes is strictly prohibited.
3.3 Course Validity & Employer Acceptance
Online courses are cognitive learning only and may not meet every employer or regulatory requirement.
It is your responsibility to confirm that a course meets your employer’s needs before enrolling.
3.4 Course Access Period
Students maintain ongoing access to their online course unless otherwise specified. Courses may be updated or removed at our discretion.
4. Certification
Certification periods vary by course type and training organization.
A-B-CPR issues certifications recognized by nationally accepted training bodies, but we do not guarantee acceptance by every employer or organization.
Certification is granted only upon successful completion of all required skills and assessments.
5. Refunds, Cancellations & Rescheduling
5.1 Refund Policy
All sales are non-refundable.
We may make exceptions at our discretion when a student contacts us directly.
5.2 Cancellations
You may cancel your registration at least 48 hours before class.

You must call our office to request a refund review
Cancellations within 48 hours are treated as a late cancellation and are not refundable.
5.3 Rescheduling

Students can reschedule at least 48 hours before class at no charge.
5.4 No-Shows
A no-show includes:

Arriving late

Failing to attend
-
Missing portions of class due to late return from breaks

6. Payments
6.1 Accepted Methods
We accept major debit and credit cards.
Corporate clients may pay by card, check, or ACH depending on agreement.
6.2 Corporate Invoicing
Corporate onsite training is billed after the class based on:

Actual attendance, or
-
The agreed-upon minimum,
whichever is greater.
Invoices are Net 30.
A late fee of 1% per month may be applied to outstanding balances.
7. Safety & Liability
7.1 Training Risks
Hands-on CPR and first aid training involves physical activity and exposure to realistic emergency scenarios.
By participating, you acknowledge:

You may experience physical exertion

Training may include graphic discussions or demonstrations

Emotional sensitivity may occur
You agree to notify the instructor of any limitations.
7.2 No Guarantee of Real-World Outcomes
CPR and first aid training improves skills but does not guarantee real-world outcomes or survival in emergency situations.
7.3 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law:

A-B-CPR is not liable for injuries occurring during class due to student misconduct or physical conditions not disclosed

A-B-CPR is not liable for consequential or incidental damages

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the class or service in question
8. Photos & Marketing Use
We may take photos or short video clips during classes for marketing purposes.
If you prefer not to appear in photos, please notify the instructor before class begins.
We may use testimonials, reviews, or feedback submitted by students for marketing unless you request otherwise.
Recording the class by students is strictly prohibited.
9. SMS & Email Notifications
By registering, you consent to receiving:

Class confirmations

Reminders
-
Schedule updates
-
Important course information
You may also receive occasional promotional messages.
You may opt out at any time by following the instructions provided (e.g., replying STOP for SMS).
Opting out of SMS does not opt you out of essential class-related emails.
10. Intellectual Property
All course materials, videos, manuals, and online content are the property of A-B-CPR.
You may not copy, distribute, record, or reproduce any training materials in any form.
11. Website Use
You agree not to:

Attempt to access systems without authorization

Copy or scrape content from the website

Use the site for fraudulent or unlawful purposes
Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for those sites.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes will be handled in state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally.
The revised version becomes effective when posted on our website.
Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
