Why You Need BLS CPR Renewal

Staying current with BLS certification is crucial for healthcare providers, as it ensures you’re prepared to respond quickly and effectively in life-threatening situations. Here’s why BLS recertification is essential:

    • Skill Retention: Regular recertification ensures that you remember and practice key life-saving techniques, including CPR, AED use, and airway management.
    • Confidence: Renewing your certification ensures you feel confident in your ability to handle emergencies involving adults, children, and infants.

How to Prepare for Your BLS Renewal

Before attending your BLS renewal class, there are a few steps to ensure you’re fully prepared:

    1. Bring Your Certification: Make sure you have your current or recently expired BLS certification card (up to 3 months past expiration). Alternatively, bring your AHA Part A online certification.
    2. Review Key Concepts: If possible, review basic CPR, AED, and airway management techniques before the course to refresh your memory.
